We saw a significant surge in account opening volume in January as our customer base grew and as existing customers competed even more aggressively for new accounts. Here's an updated view, courtesy of analytics site Compete, on our aggregate system-wide traffic stats. The data shows a greater than 50% month-over-month surge in unique visitors across our customer base during the month of January, which even caught us a little by surprise given the magnitude.
Separately, I've been delinquent in my blogging duties recently due to a busy schedule, but I promise to get caught up. I'm likely to go silent again for a couple of weeks as my wife and I are expecting our second child any day now.
