As a Project Manager who has worked with large, small, and innovative, rapidly-growing organizations, I was excited to see this announcement. I'm applying for a PM position and am looking forward to learning more about Andera!
How does this affect the value of the company? With skinny margins as you have now, taking investment capital will dilute your value to the point where you can no longer give away your services. Welcome back to the business of selling your services at fair market value. Get ready for the reality shock of market competition. Hang on - it's going to be a bumpy ride. You have to win based on providing services now. I know this will not get published but it definitely will have you thinking - guaranteed.
Thanks for pointing out that our total cost of ownership is the lowest in the market. I think you're referring to the fact that we only charge for approved and funded accounts, while others charge for all application attempts, including failed or abandoned applications that have little or no value. With industry approval rates in the 10-50% range, this can mean huge savings with our solution, and ensures that our interests are completely aligned with those of our customers. If this is what you're referring to as "giving away" our services, we see no reason to change now.
